We’re proud of our groundbreaking history, for opening up university education to those who didn’t think they belonged, and asking the difficult questions. We still do that today.

We have two locations, in beautiful green surroundings in Surrey, and central London, where we run some postgraduate courses. Wherever you’re based you’ll have access to top-notch facilities and expert staff. Our courses cover arts, business, humanities, law and sciences and we cultivate partnerships that link us with local and global industries and culture, so you can boost your studies with real world experiences.

It’s not all about study. We want you to thrive when you graduate and careers support begins from day one. We offer a fantastic range of social events, clubs, societies and sports, so you can build incredible memories, make friends or enjoy some well-earned downtime.

International students

Royal Holloway has a thriving international community where students can meet others from across the world, share cultures and develop socially while receiving a top education.

Our International Advice team is on hand to provide practical support, including support on integrating into study and life in the UK and visa and immigration advice. Support for academic work is available from our Centre for the Development of Academic Studies (CeDAS), which provides workshops, courses and tailored skills support including academic writing, maths and numeracy and referencing.

Our Egham campus is just seven miles from Heathrow airport and we provide a free pick-up service ahead of the start of term in September. Our London campus is in Bloomsbury.

There are also more than 100 clubs and societies at Royal Holloway, including plenty with an international flavour.

Most of my spare time is spent with friends and I like going to London to watch musicals and explore the city. At Royal Holloway you’ll get the experience of a lifetime with the best of both worlds. Egham offers tranquility and peace but if you like partying you’ll find that too on campus, or you can immerse yourself in the vibrant city life of London.

Alejandra, MSc Digital Innovation and Analytics

I’m based in London for my course but I come to Egham a lot. I get the best of both and I feel part of the University wherever I’m at. Community is so important here and I feel so loved and welcomed. I feel such a bond with other students and alumni. They carry the character that is unique to Royal Holloway, which is open-minded, bright and so embracing of others. It’s an eagerness to learn and make meaningful connections.

I love living on campus in George Eliot Hall. All my flatmates are from different countries, it’s very international! There are 12 people in my flat and we’ve become good friend. We share a big communal room and kitchen where we often socialise and cook together. The time I have spent with my flatmates and friends is unforgettable.
